Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has established the Energy Transformation Advisory Board to guide the state's transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. The board, consisting of representatives from labor, business, finance, and environmental justice groups, aims to support the Office of Energy Transformation, which is accelerating Massachusetts' gas-to-electric transition and preparing the electric grid to meet state climate and clean energy mandates. Massachusetts aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
