The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation initiate a 3.3-acre greenhouse project in North Dakota, aiding food supply for tribal communities, spending $76M in the first phase.

A Native American tribe in North Dakota is creating a large-scale greenhouse complex on its reservation, going back to its traditional agricultural practices. The first phase of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation's project will cover 3.3 acres and will be one of the largest greenhouses in the U.S., once completed. The greenhouse aims to provide food for the tribe, as well as to surrounding tribes and impoverished communities. The tribe plans to spend $76 million on the initial phase of the project.
