China's A-share ETF market reached a record $292bn in H1 2024, driven by broad-based ETFs and high dividend yield ETFs.

China's A-share ETF market reached a record-high of $292bn in the first half of 2024, driven by broad-based ETFs which saw their assets double to over $171bn, accounting for 59% of the market. A total of 84 stock ETFs were launched with E Fund Management Co., Ltd. leading the way, introducing ten new ETFs and raising over $505m. High dividend yield ETFs also experienced inflows of around $2.1bn due to strong returns.
