On Friday, a Port Orange officer was struck by a suspect driving a stolen vehicle during an attempted escape.
A Port Orange officer was struck by a suspect driving a stolen vehicle during an attempted escape on Friday. The suspect was located in the Sunrise Pointe Apartments but fled the scene as officers tried to stop the vehicle, hitting an officer and another patrol car. The driver was apprehended after running onto Clyde Morris Boulevard. All officers are reportedly alright.
