France's Eramet and its subsidiary, Eramine, plan to invest $800 million in constructing a second lithium production plant in Argentina's Salta province. This second phase, which depends on government fiscal measures, involves building the plant 70 km from the first one, and aims to produce 24,000 tons of lithium carbonate annually. Eramet's partner in the project is the Chinese metallurgical company Tsingshan.
