Royal Ramey, co-founder/CEO of California's Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program, shares his own experience: after prison, he pursued a firefighting career, which he found fulfilling. But, building a firefighting career after leaving prison is not easy, with many ex-prisoners facing barriers to employment. Ramey's nonprofit aims to help formerly incarcerated firefighters find employment.
