A Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the final forfeiture of 20 properties linked to Abdulrasheed Maina, the ex-chairman of Nigeria's Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), who is serving an eight-year jail term for a N2 billion pension fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) provided evidence that the properties were obtained illegally, and the court agreed that the EFCC had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt. Interested parties who claimed ownership of the properties failed to provide credible evidence for their claims.
