Corre Energy and SemperPower form a 50/50 joint venture to develop Europe's largest battery storage facility at Zuidwending, Netherlands, for grid balancing and CO2 reduction.

Corre Energy and Dutch firm SemperPower have formed a joint venture to develop one of Europe's largest battery storage facilities at the Zuidwending site in the Netherlands. The 50/50 partnership will initially invest €7m, with Corre Energy's contribution representing capital already invested in the project. The facility aims to act as a critical grid balancing solution for the Netherlands and remove over 70,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
