China and Tajikistan jointly call for an inclusive government in Afghanistan, involving all ethnic, religious, and political groups. They believe an independent, neutral, united, inclusive, and peaceful Afghanistan, free from terrorism, war, and drugs, is in the common interest of the Afghan people and regional countries. The statement was released during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Tajikistan, after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Astana and a state visit to Kazakhstan.
