Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi has invested in India's first vernacular dating app, flutrr. The app, co-founded by IIM Lucknow alumni Kaushik Banerjee and Anirban Banerjee in December 2021, targets Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets across India. Flutrr supports six Indian languages and aims to empower women by offering the freedom to choose their life partners. Qureshi's investment is seen as a significant step toward the app becoming a pan-India success story.
