50-year-old North Vancouver resident Gray Taylor, a well-respected community member, died in a kiteboarding accident in Squamish on Canada Day. Taylor, who spent much of his time in Squamish, was kiteboarding with friends when an unusually strong gust of wind led to his fatal fall on the rocky oceanfront. His friend Michael Coulthard described Taylor as an "outstanding guy" and a "really, really well-connected and respected person in the community."
