The US National Hurricane Center expects it to head away from land and dissipate by the weekend. In the Atlantic Ocean, Hurricane Beryl weakened and is expected to bring heavy rain and moderate winds to Mexico's Caribbean coast before crossing Yucatan and possibly restrengthening in the Gulf of Mexico.
