Odisha CM announces Rs 200 crore plan with IIT Delhi for urban flooding solutions in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and other areas.

Odisha Chief Minister announced a Rs 200 crore plan to address urban flooding issues in the state, with technical assistance from IIT Delhi. The long-term program will tackle flood situations in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and other urban areas. The Chief Minister also directed desilting of drains, establishment of control rooms for natural disasters, and increasing ODRAF units from 20 to 30. A budget of Rs 394 crore was allocated for enhancing the capacity of the Odisha Fire Services department.
