NSE implements a 90% price cap on SME IPOs for pre-open session to minimize volatility, effective July 4, 2024.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is implementing a 90% price cap on the issue price of SME IPOs during the pre-open session to ensure stability in the opening price discovery process. The cap will be applicable only to the SME segment and not for mainboard IPOs, relisted securities, or public debt. The move aims to reduce volatility and speculation in the opening price of SME stocks and comes in effect from July 4, 2024.
