2 men killed in head-on crash in Avoyelles Parish on July 4; impairment suspected. Two men, Shepherd Roy Jr. (63) and Robert Johnson (75), died in a head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 29 near Overbey Road. Troopers suspect impairment was a factor in the collision, and toxicology samples were taken for analysis. Both men were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
