Gifford Pinchot State Park's Quaker Race Beach is closed for swimming due to harmful algae conditions. The beach will remain closed until acceptable water sample test results are received. Boating and fishing activities are still permitted, but visitors are urged to practice safe water recreation practices, including avoiding swallowing and inhaling untreated water, and avoiding contact with water that has foam, scum, or discoloration.
