70+ year-old man attacked with bike chain, pushed into canal during robbery in Leigh, Wigan. Detectives believe victim's helmet saved his life. Police are investigating the "terrifying" incident that occurred on Bridgewater Canal on June 8th. Suspect wore a skull balaclava and all-black clothing, attempted to pull victim's bike before assaulting him with a bike chain.
