24-year-old Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski appointed new music director of Hong Kong Philharmonic for 2026-27 season.

24-year-old Finnish conductor, Tarmo Peltokoski, has been appointed as the new music director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, succeeding Jaap van Zweden. Peltokoski will begin a five-year term in the 2026-27 season, after serving as music director designate in 2025-26. The young conductor, who studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, is set to bring fresh energy to Asia's premier orchestra.
