29-year-old Bruce Lehrmann, a former Liberal Party staffer, has been committed to stand trial for two counts of rape, alleged to have occurred in Toowoomba on 10 October 2021. The woman accused Lehrmann of sexually assaulting her twice during the morning after they met at a strip club the previous night. Lehrmann has not yet entered a plea, but has previously indicated he would plead not guilty.
