Vancouver's Philip Kim, or "B-Boy Phil Wizard," has been named to Canada's first-ever Olympic breaking team, making history as the country's first-ever Olympic breaking athlete. Kim, who won the first gold medal in B-Boys breaking competition at the Pan American Games in November, will compete in breaking, an urban dance style originating from New York City, during the Paris Olympic Games in 2024. Kim has also won Canada's first world title in breaking at the 2022 World DanceSport Federation championships.
