Tourists in Spain and Italy have been warned of potential deadly West Nile Virus cases, with one individual in Seville and another in Modena infected. The mosquito-borne virus can cause fever, body aches, rashes, and vomiting in severe cases, leading to seizures, muscle weakness, and paralysis. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has confirmed that these cases were locally acquired and not imported from tropical regions.
