Parramatta Light Rail, officially named L4, starts final tests ahead of passenger services. Trials run Mon 8 July, between Westmead & Carlingford, with drills simulating malfunctions & emergencies. Operator Transdev tests timetable & identifies issues before service begins. Premier Chris Minns & Transport Minister Jo Haylen plan to ride the line, noting importance of public transport in Western Sydney.
