The Sindh government in Pakistan plans to open a special office for premium number plate issuance after a successful first-phase auction raised over Rs675.4 million. Proceeds will support flood victims' rehabilitation. The Sindh Excise & Taxation Department also intends to allow citizens to obtain number plates from home and is considering a second phase of the auction.
