The North Central Development Commission (Establishment) Bill has passed its third reading in the Nigerian Senate. The bill, sponsored by Senator Abba Moro, aims to establish a commission to manage funds for the resettlement, rehabilitation, integration, and reconstruction of areas affected by flood and farmer/herder clashes in North Central Nigeria. The bill passed first and second readings in 2023 and 2024, respectively, and now moves to the President for assent.
