The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, managed by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), has achieved significant progress. Civil contracts for the project have been awarded in both Gujarat and Maharashtra, with 100% land acquisition completed. Key milestones include the completion of the first mountain tunnel near Zaroli Village in Valsad, a 350-meter tunnel, and three steel bridges. The project is currently on track for completion by 2026, initially with services running between Surat and Bilimora.
