MARTA pauses Four-Year Five Points station shutdown due to design issues and water damage.
MARTA has decided to pause its plan to shut down the Five Points station in downtown Atlanta for up to four years, due to design issues and water intrusion damage. The major renovation project was initially scheduled to begin this month, with eight bus routes relocating and customer impacts such as access to tunnels and restroom closures. However, the project has been paused, and bus routes will remain stationed out of Five Points.
