India's UPI payment system expands to Galeries Lafayette in Paris for Indian visitors during the Paris Olympics.

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has expanded to Galeries Lafayette in Paris, following its successful launch at the Eiffel Tower. The UPI, launched by Ambassador of India to France, Jawed Ashraf, aims to offer Indian visitors an easy payment option during the Paris Olympics. This move aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to globalise the Indian payment system, developed by the National Payments Corporation of India in 2016.
