Ikea owner Ingka Investments expands forestry in NZ, converting farmland to rotational pine forests for biodiversity, jobs, and greenhouse gas sequestration.

Ikea owner, Ingka Investments, is expanding its forestry portfolio in NZ, converting 19,205 hectares of farmland into rotational pine forests. Their goals include supporting local biodiversity, long-term employment, and sequestering greenhouse gases through tree growth and soil protection. Ingka Investments plans more investments and does not participate in carbon farming, credit sales or offsetting.
