Corpus Christi Public Works Department is providing 14,000 free sandbags to residents as Hurricane Beryl approaches, with three self-service pickup events at City Service Center. Residents can load a maximum of seven sandbags per vehicle, and city crews will assist those who need help. The city had previously distributed 10,000 sandbags to over 1,400 residents in two events.
