3-year-old boy in Sanford, Maine, was shot in the hand on Tuesday afternoon, following a reported gunshot sound at 13 Shaw Road. The child was found with a gunshot wound to his left hand and was accompanied by his father. The pistol was found inside the home, and the child was transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment. Sanford Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident, stating there is no risk to the public.
