Army deserter Sandeep Gurav, 39, was arrested in Pune for running a fake recruitment scam, duping hopefuls of ₹32 lakh. Gurav, a former Corps of Electronic & Mechanical Engineering member, was caught in a joint operation by the Military Intelligence of the Indian Army's Southern Command and Pune Police. After deserting the Army, Gurav allegedly promised job aspirants recruitment as medical assistants at the Military Hospital in Khadki, Pune, and took their money.
