Wisconsin has been awarded $49 million to support its medicine and biohealth sector, as it is recognized as a US Regional Tech Hub. The funding will help advance the state’s research, lab space, and collaboration, as well as enhance access to capital for businesses. The consortium, consisting of 15 public and private partners, includes the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Exact Sciences Corporation, and Madison Area Technical College.
