Three levels of government finalized a deal to provide $1.6 billion in federal funding over five years to British Columbia communities for critical infrastructure. The Canada Community-Building Fund deal allocates $300 million for B.C. local governments in 2024-2025, with over $825 million (50% of the five-year total) going to TransLink, Metro Vancouver's transport network.
