NPCI International and Network International partner to enable QR code-based UPI payments at over 200,000 POS terminals across 60,000 merchants in the UAE. The initiative aims to enhance the shopping experience for Indian tourists and NRIs by providing a secure and efficient alternative to traditional payment methods. Indian users with domestic bank accounts can now use UPI for transactions in the UAE, with plans to expand the acceptance of UPI to various other establishments.
