Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo nominated Deputy Minister for Energy, Herbert Krapah, as Minister of State designate at the Ministry of Energy due to the heavy workload at the Ministry. Parliament Speaker Alban Bagbin announced the President's request for parliamentary approval on July 3. This appointment follows the practice of having a substantive Minister and three deputy ministers at the Ministry of Energy.
