Gelsenkirchen, Germany renames itself "Swiftkirchen" from July 17-19 for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Gelsenkirchen, Germany is temporarily renaming itself "Swiftkirchen" from July 17 to 19 to celebrate Taylor Swift's Eras Tour performances. Initiated by local fan Aleshanee Westhoff, the city will install signs marking the entrance to "Swiftkirchen" and a "Taylor Swift tram" is currently operating for fans attending the concerts. Taylor Swift will also receive a plaque on Gelsenkirchen's Walk of Fame.
