Northbound State Route 529 in Everett, Washington was closed for emergency maintenance due to a large hole in the road caused by an individual tunneling underneath. The hole, 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep, was discovered by road crews near the Union Slough Bridge. Traffic was diverted while the area was repaired, and there is no estimated time for reopening.
