Azerbaijan and China have adopted a Joint Declaration on establishing a strategic partnership at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Astana. The declaration supports China's proposed Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, and both countries agree to expand cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields, strengthening interaction in international affairs.
