3:20 a.m. tow truck crash in Hueytown killed driver, no house residents injured; investigation ongoing.
A tow truck driver was killed early Wednesday when his tow truck crashed into a house in Hueytown. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m., in the 200 block of Forest Road. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and no residents inside the house were injured. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Hueytown police are currently investigating the crash. The driver's name has not been released.
