Universal Pictures has moved the release date of "Wicked" to November 22, 2024, a week earlier than its originally scheduled fall release. The film adaptation of the Broadway musical will now avoid competing with Disney's "Moana 2," which is set for a November 27 release date. "Wicked" will now share its release date with Ridley Scott's "Gladiator II." The film stars Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and is directed by John M. Chu.
