Ōtaki businesses and residents experienced relief as effective police action reduced boy racer activity. A 300-strong group had caused distress with aggressive behaviour, vandalism, and road damage. Local community leaders' advocacy and dedication helped address the issue, impacting businesses negatively. The NZ Police's hands-on approach was commended by the Kāpiti Business Chamber.
