Retired MSP detective, Brian Keely, faces murder and manslaughter charges for striking and killing Samuel Sterling with an unmarked police car.

Retired Michigan State Police detective, Brian Keely, is set to appear for a probable cause hearing regarding charges of murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of Samuel Sterling, 25, who was struck by an unmarked police car. Keely was part of the Sixth District Fugitive Task Force when the incident occurred. If convicted, Keely faces up to life in prison for murder and up to 15 years for manslaughter.
