Pipeline explosion in northwest Alberta causes grass fire, closes Highway 16 section.

A pipeline explosion in northwest Alberta has caused a grass fire and closed a section of Highway 16 west of Edson. The cause of the explosion is unknown, and the highway is closed between Range Road 192 and Highway 47. Edson RCMP and fire crews are on the scene, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. The highway reopened at 5:45 p.m. on June 1, with the westbound lane remaining affected.
