Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has proposed 142 recommendations to improve future electoral processes, addressing various aspects including administrative actions by INEC, security agency actions, legal framework amendments by the National Assembly, and actions required by political parties and other stakeholders. These recommendations were unveiled by INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, during a two-day induction retreat for Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) in Lagos. The commission plans to engage Nigerians in the reform process and share the report once it is completed.
