6 lbs of fentanyl, enough to kill 1.3 million people, was seized by U.S. border agents at Detroit's Fort Street Cargo Facility on June 2. This is the largest fentanyl seizure in Port of Detroit history and one of the largest along the northern border in the past five years. A K9 alerted agents to the possible presence of the synthetic opioid, leading to the subsequent discovery and confiscation of the pills.
