Indiana Rep. Victoria Spartz charged with bringing a firearm through airport security at Dulles International Airport.

Indiana Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz has been charged with bringing a firearm through airport security at Washington Dulles International Airport. Authorities said Spartz was charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor under Virginia law after a TSA officer detected an unloaded .380-caliber firearm in her carry-on during passenger security screening on June 28. Spartz's office said in a statement that the congresswoman mistakenly carried an unloaded handgun in the pocket of her suitcase while going through security and was unaware that it was there.
