Dutch telecom firms KPN, VodafoneZiggo, and Tele2 secured 5G network frequency space in a national auction, raising over €174M for the state treasury. The auction focused on 3.5 GHz band frequencies, enabling faster and more reliable mobile internet. KPN obtained a 100 MHz spectrum package for €58.4M, set to support their 5G expansion through 2040 and meet the rising demand for mobile data.
