Starting Aug. 1, the US will implement new rules for dogs entering the country from Canada. Dogs must be six months old, have an internationally compatible microchip implanted before any required rabies vaccinations, and the microchip number must be documented on all required forms and veterinary records. The dog's health is also important, and it may be isolated and examined if it appears unwell.
