Yukon's Mayo village on evacuation alert due to uncontrolled Roaring Creek wildfire 15 km north.
The Yukon village of Mayo has been placed on evacuation alert due to a wildfire in the area. The Roaring Creek wildfire, located 15 kilometres north of Mayo, is currently out of control. The village's Emergency Measures Organization has issued the alert, urging residents to prepare for the possibility of evacuation. Yukon is receiving firefighting assistance from British Columbia, with 12 initial-attack crews and one air-tanker group deployed.
