50-year-old SCUBA diver from Embarrass, MN drowned during an attempt to recover sunken machinery in Crane Lake, outside Voyageurs National Park. The incident occurred on June 30, and despite rescue efforts and medical assistance, the diver was pronounced dead at the scene. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of death alongside the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
